An extensive collection of the works of African American composers and arrangers, the series includes all styles of music emanating from Black churches: spirituals, traditional gospel, modern gospel, and all degrees of classical style compositions. A stunning feature of the series is found in the fully notated accompaniments that allow any competent pianist to authentically perform the music of the Black church.
