Bobobo or Borborbor (boh-boh’-boh) is a recreational piece performed at celebrations and festivals by the Ewe people of southeast Ghana. This area is called the Volta Region. Bobobo is performed in all sorts of social settings, including birth celebrations, communal events, school gatherings, or weddings. This arrangement for children's choir features two well-known Ghanaian (Ewe) songs: Duma Nya Me and Joy Like a River. With its catchy melody and interesting interplay between the parts, this arrangement is sure to be an instant hit with audiences and performers alike. It can also be performed with body movements and percussion ensemble (instructions for both included).
