The season of Lent, culminating in the days of Holy Week, spans the emotional spectrum—from deepest despair to boundless joy; from penitence and confession to celebration and triumph. In this collection, Lloyd Larson has taken some of his personal favorite hymns for this season and created new organ settings that are deeply inspired by the emotional moods painted by these classic texts and tunes.
