Sacred Songs for Fingerstyle Guitar

Hymns have been used for building up the body of believers since the beginning of church history. These accessible fingerstyle arrangements of 13 traditional hymns are meant to provide opportunities for guitarists of any skill level to praise the Lord.

The individual hymns are arranged in a progressive manner beginning with a simple statement of the melody which even beginners can enjoy playing. Then, when you feel more confident, you can delve into the more challenging polyphonic version of the same hymn. This pedagogical approach helps the player develop an awareness of tone and dynamics while understanding each additional voice as an important aspect of the overall arrangement.
