Dustin Schulze’s original homage to the minimalist composer Philip Glass has now been adapted for concert band, featuring woodwinds, brass, and a large array of percussion instruments. In this new version, Schulze composed a fair amount of new material using a many different textures and layering effects to create a unique sense of motion and continuity. To juxtapose this, he also crafted some moments based on Bach chorales in the brass, which he happened to be practicing while writing the piece. These two techniques come together to form one complete musical journey that is both emotionally thrilling and intellectually satisfying. This piece comes as a professionally printed and bound score and includes individual parts in PDF format for printing or for tablet viewing.
