It is written to be performed on a 4.3-octave (low A) marimba.Through the use of a single alternating stroke ostinato in one hand, and a lead melody in the other, players will contend with the musical relationship between these two roles. Melody and accompaniment shift hands midway through the piece, making this a great solo to study musicianship and technique.
